At Sync’d Design we are proud to say we only create bespoke website designs. If you are looking for a new website and aren’t sure about the difference between them, or didn’t even know you had this choice to make here are a few reasons why you should choose bespoke.
Firstly when we talk about a bespoke website it just means that it has been designed with your specific needs in mind, it is original, unique & tailored to you.
The other option available is a template website. These are sold on mass, so you end up with a website that could look similar to thousands of others. Some providers of these are well known like WordPress, Wix and TemplateMonster, but many other design agencies and freelances resell these products with a hefty markup.
Lets ignore the resellers for now and lets say you’re going to give it a go yourself to save some money, because who doesn’t want to make some savings where they can. A template website seems like a good idea at first as they lure you in with a cheap price tag. In reality you get what you pay for and you could end up with something that yes didn’t cost a lot in the beginning, but with all the add-ons and monthly fees you’ll likely pay more in the long run. Not to mention all the time it has taken you to create something that’s not hit the mark, when you could have been working on your product you are trying to market…. Value your own time!
Still not convinced to spend the extra on bespoke website design?
Here are a few more reasons why it’s the right choice…
As a bespoke website is being created each page is ingrained with words and code relevant to your search engine optimisation.
When we design a bespoke website, we have written the code, therefore there are no third party software plugins that could be an easy target to virus’s and hackers.
You own it
Once we have received full payment for the website it belongs to you. If you have chosen us to handle your hosting (which you don’t have to), all we’ll invoice you for is your domain and hosting package renewal.
How this differs from companies like Wix and Square Space etc… If you stop paying your monthly fee, the website is terminated you can’t transfer it to a new host. Think of it as spending a long time building your house on rented land, which can be subject to change at any time.
Do I really need it?
An online presence is a must for any business in 2018.
Last year, in the UK, out of a population of 64.91 million people, 87% of those shopped online (www.webinterpret.com). Standing out has never been more important, but also having a website that is a quality, search engine friendly, mobile optimised and hassle free online experience for new and existing customers is essential.
