Food photography for Merrie England menus, posters and social media
Food photography for Merrie England, created for menu design, poster artwork, social media campaigns and day-to-day hospitality marketing.
Good food photography gives a cafe or bakery far more to work with than a few nice pictures. It creates a bank of images that can be used across menu boards, social posts, posters, delivery offers and product-led campaigns.
For Merrie England, the aim was to show the food clearly and keep the images useful. Sandwiches, sweet products, savoury bakes, trays and counter-style ranges all need different framing. The image still has to look appetising, but it also has to work in a real design layout.
When the same food image might end up in a poster, a screen menu and a square social advert, you have to think about space. Some shots need clean backgrounds. Some need enough room for price and offer copy. Some need to be cropped tight so the product still reads quickly on a phone.
That is where photography and graphic design overlap. The best image is often the one that gives the designer room to build a useful piece of marketing around it.
The food range imagery can be reused across offers without every item needing a fresh shoot. It gives the business a consistent look and avoids relying on generic food imagery that never quite matches the product.
For hospitality businesses, that matters. A real product photo helps the offer feel honest and local.
