Merrie England Express sub-brand design, food photography and offer screens
Merrie England Express sub-brand work, combining logo design, food photography, menu screens and offer-led graphics for a fast-moving food format.
Merrie England Express needed to feel connected to the main Merrie England brand while still having its own energy. Express work has to be quick to understand: food, drink, offer, price, action.
That makes the sub-brand a useful bridge between logo design, food photography and screen graphics. It has to work on menus, till screens, social posts and offer templates without losing the parent brand.
Express artwork is bolder and more immediate, but it still needs proper structure. The logo, food imagery, product groupings and offer panels all have to behave consistently.
Without that structure, every new offer becomes a fresh design problem. With it, new artwork can be produced faster and still feel polished.
The strongest Express material is product-led. The food imagery gives the brand warmth and appetite appeal, while the design keeps the offer legible.
This project is a good example of branding, photography and day-to-day design support working together.
